Simple, everyday words pointing to good old ordinary awareness…

A thought comes into existence – then dissolves. Is it stored somewhere? Is there a storehouse for these so-called “things”? Where, outside of this moment, is anything?

All that remains of it is a memory. And that memory, when recalled, comes into being and dissolves also in this moment. The recollection and experience of that memory is a present thought. Yes?

Does anything at all exist outside of this very moment? The “present moment”? Take a look at this “thing” we call present, that we call “this moment”. Where exactly is it? How big is it? How wide is it? When things and situations come and then go, where do they go?

Is there anything outside of this moment? Isn’t this moment the totality of all appearance? Does an appearance exist outside of this moment? We focus on the changing appearances, then we chase after them in memory, anticipate them in imagination. In doing so we miss the immediacy and “singular” or nondual nature of this moment.

We call this moment – The Present. But what does that really mean? What is the official length of time for “present”? We can talk about the present century, the present decade, the present year, the present month, the present day, the present hour, the present minute, the present second…

The second is also divisible mathematically – the present millisecond, the present nanosecond… how far we can divide the present can go on indefinitely with a good calculator. But are we actually dividing anything? No…

So how long is the present? How long is this moment? To know time it is necessary to understand the present, yes?

The present, this moment, NOW – is no length of time. No length of time. Is it not true? No length of time means what? Timeless. Eternal. THIS, right here and now, is the timeless.

So lots of things come and go – if this is seriously looked into we may realize nothing that comes can be held onto, although that’s the primary occupation of the mind. Everything comes and goes – so how do we know the present? What is the constant or certain factor of the present or this moment?

That factor or principle is your own presence. The timeless in all situations, beyond time and space, is YOU. We know “this moment”. Knowing this moment is knowing yourself, your presence. Are you ever absent or changing?

Find out, discern between what is coming and going, what is changing, and what is not.

Awareness is not a property – not an object – not a condition – not an attribute – not part of what comes and goes. Awareness is that timelessness and limitlessness because of which the changes can be known. Isn’t this blindingly obvious yet overlooked in the focus and imagination surrounding the changes?

Not everyone ‘likes’ poetry, not everyone ‘likes’ plain talk. What does it take to get anybody anywhere anyway? Surely the whole concept here on this podcast is that everything is welcome? Even your comment yes, of course!

And the idea of ‘a bridge for someone to cross over’ can be nothing but poetry, can it not?

Nothing wrong with a bit of danger of course, but it can be like ‘they have something I haven’t got’, and if one gets fixated on trying to define an ‘experience’ of awakening, well, whatever, eventually one gets so pissed off with trying to get what cannot be gotten, that the search ends, so in fact, it’s all OK…….and if it doesn’t end then that’s still OK…..

but anyway, nice to hear that it is OK….

And those words keep coming back to me – nothing exists, it all just appears. And yes it is what Gilbert and Randall have been pointing to endlessly, but as a fellow mother in front of a sink full of dishes, something pinged.

So when my one child walks into the room and I immediately have responded in my usual stance, it suddenly dawns on me that this is not reality, this is just an appearance and as such is completely unique and unknown.

Then riding my bike down the village again comes the possibility of Su not existing, of not having substance, of also merely appearing.
And with that the miracle of each appearance is astonishing.
And the liberation of not being someone or something is equally freeing.

Of course the mind will reestablish itself as an object – unless of course it doesn’t.

However, he is balanced and willing to list even those teachers and writers he doesn’t agree with. The mind can make direct, simple seeing of reality a real minefield!

Suzanne’s comments regarding ‘choice-less-ness’ as a pointer to absolute freedom are spot on! That says it all really…

And yes, this current incarnation of the site is very nice. Solid and clear but also warm.

What more needs to be added to this? It precludes everything that goes after it (Is preclude the right word to use?).

Well how can this nothingness allude to this magnificence anyway, unless there is expression which is just simply saying ‘it is magnificent?’

Your voice is sweetly nasal and poetic, just like your words on your blog writing too. The ‘first’ of ‘many’ interviews arising and dissipating out here, there, everywhere, I believe. I would love to hear more.

An interesting thing happened earlier.
I had happened upon Suzanne posting on Randall’s site before and there was quite a strong negative feeling that arose.
I could not fault what she said but I did not want to read her writing.
Today, with rain pouring down, I saw that the latest podcast featured her and figured, hell they have not done one that has not resonated and so the play button was pressed.
What a delightful surprise.
I enjoyed each and every moment of it.
Thanks to all concerned.

I’m never a big one for telling seekers what to do. But it can’t hurt to get to the nub, whatever the nub may be. The concept that nothing is ever wrong seems useful. Nothing is wrong with you, whoever it is that you think you are. However small you seem, you are vast; however lost you seem, being lost isn’t necessarily a “bad” thing. However separate your mind says you are, you are not separate. Those thoughts are just little bits of energy, doing exactly what they must. Whatever it is you are looking for is there in the looking. It doesn’t matter how the story seems to play out, no matter how sweeping, no matter how painful, no matter how blissful. And all these words are just concepts, and concepts will never do anything to reveal the shameless obviousness of being. Here it is. This is it! Reveling in it is always a possibility.

Before a concept appears, before anything is evaluated, no matter what it may appear to be, everything is perfect – in the expression, no matter what it is, this ‘cosmic perfection’ is not altered or changed and yet it is forever changing. The Essence remains as ONE. No ‘entity’ enters the equation, except in the imagination and the imagination is of course perfect just as it is. Suzanne is like the Pied Piper who comes to town and rids the town of the rats for a fee, then goes off and sells them for profit to some other town where they worship rats. The program fell together with ease and the music, it seems, chose itself. There are no ramifications in really hearing what is being pointed out. Pure intelligence is not ‘contained’ in any of the expressions or words. Each impression registers cleanly and precisely just as it is – perfect. ‘Who’ could truly have a problem with any of it? What moves the universe? What moves the thumb in a gesture of up or down? Do you truly know ? – isn’t it all perfectly expressing itself, without your permission?

And perfect.

why does my comment have that mean, angry face on it? i never had a chance in my profile to select a face-thing. i’ve looked everywhere, but i must say that that graphic does not express my attitude toward suzanne, or anything else, for that matter.

all seriousness aside, suzanne’s perspective on everything and Nothing includes everyone and NoOne, simultaneously.

in a dual/dueling world, it is re-Freshing to tap into no one’s perspective on Oneness (so to speak).
