Pointers appear and disappear – what they all point to never appears… and so it never can disappear. Just the same is what you are has never truly appeared or disappeared. Knowing is all that is ‘happening’. Everything appears in the knowing – including the ‘knowing of’, the ‘conscious of’.

You ARE this SEEING-KNOWING-ESSENCE, the knowing of all things, which only ever forms into the transient patterns of ‘a seer’ and ‘the seen‘. The unchanging is what you ARE. This knowing does not need a pattern to associate with and all patterns come and go ‘upon’ the unchanging essence of ‘I am’.

All concepts are ephemeral by nature, and they cannot bind Awareness – they simply are awareness itself appearing as forms ‘in or on’ Awareness. This program is all about this fact. No belief is asked for or required. The immediate experiencing is NOT of being a ‘person’. That fact is extremely subtle and yet so very, very obvious. It is not a concept….it is irrefutable….self-evident. If one truly hears what is being pointed out – it is the dissolution of all beliefs in ‘time and process’ – ‘a Path’ – and the clear presence of naked awareness is obvious – as it always IS. It is not ‘personal’. Enlightenment is not a personal achievement – no matter what any Guru, Teacher or anyone says.

This is the first of a series of programs on pointers used in advaita. The pointer explored in this program is ‘You are already that’, a pointer used by Bob Adamson. Parallels are drawn between this pointer and one used by Nisagardatta of staying with the ‘I am.’

The two advaita ‘teachers’ who feature in the program are Gilbert Schultz and Bob Adamson. There are many out there claiming to be ‘teaching’ non duality (advaita), but which of them really are? If your chosen teacher is making claims that he or she is enlightened then maybe you need to reconsider how useful such a ‘teacher’ is.
